SALE OF COLLEGE PROPERTYThe Trustees of Central Piedmont Community College (the "Board of Trustees") has authorized the sale by sealed bid of the following parcel of real property: 1422 East 4th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina Parcel ID 12510412 Approximately 0.185 acres of land with an office building of approximately 4,400 square feet. The College will accept sealed bids for the property until 3:00 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Education Center, 1412 East 4th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina. At 3:00 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2026, all bids received shall be opened in public, and the amount of each bid announced and recorded. The record of bids shall be reported to the Board of Trustees at its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The Board of Trustees will determine the highest responsible bidder for the property and will award the bid at its May 13, 2026 meeting. Bids will remain open and subject to acceptance until the Board of Trustees awards the bid and the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges approves the property action. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. A bid deposit may take the form of cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a surety bond. The deposit of the bidder to whom the award is made will be held until the sale of the property is closed; if that bidder refuses at any time to close the sale, the deposit will be forfeited to the College. The deposits of all other bidders will be returned at the time the Board of Trustees awards the property to the highest responsible bidder. In order for a bid to be considered, the bidder must be current on payment of all property taxes owed to the County. The College reserves the right to withdraw the property from sale at any time and the right to reject all bids.
