for the
R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair HouseThe public will take notice that, pursuant to § 160D-946, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the City Council of the City of Charlotte has called a public hearing on the question of designating as a historic landmark the property known as the "R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair House" as set forth below to be conducted at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28202. All interested parties are invited to present comments at the public hearing regarding the "R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair House" historic designation. To speak at the public hearing, please call the City Clerk's Office at 704-336-2248, sign up online at https://charlottenc.gov/CityClerk/Pages/Speak.aspx, or sign up in-person with the City Clerk prior to the start of the public hearing. The hearing will allow the public to comment on the potential historic landmark designation of the "R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair House" (listed under Parcel Identification Number 07803616 and including the interior and exterior of the house and the land listed under Tax Parcel Number 07803616 in the Mecklenburg County Tax Office, Charlotte, North Carolina as of October 1, 2025). The "R. Kent and Gertrude N. Blair House" is owned by Christopher M. and Cameron Blake Holtz, and is located at 529 North Poplar Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Such designation would be pursuant to Chapter 160D, Article 9, as amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina.
